Kerstin Frödin – recorderist & oboist (b. 1971 in Stockholm, Sweden)

is an internationally recognized recorder player and oboist (baroque- and classical instruments). She is active as a soloist and chamber musician working with newly-written as well as early music. She earned her soloist's diploma from the Royal College of Music, Stockholm in 1996, studying with Professor Clas Pehrsson. She continued her recorder studies in Paris under Pierre Hamon. Her oboe studies include an exam in baroque oboe and classical oboe under Paolo Grazzi at the Conservatorio di musica E. F. Dall'Abaco in Verona, Italy as well as private studies under Katharina Arfken in Basel. She has performed at swedish and international festivals such as Festivale d'Ile de France, Festival Oude Muziek, Netherlands, Festival Accademia Bizantina, Grandezze & Meraviglie Modena Italy, Real Academia de Bellas Artes Madrid, Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes Havanna Kuba as well as Helsingfors Festspel, Nordic Music Days, Stockholm Early Music Festival, Kalv Festival, Båstad Chamber Music Festival and Stockholm New Music, Sweden.
